This broad but low-density scatter of pottery was noted during transect survey in 1995. Analysis of the pottery showed a general spread of Ottoman material, with small amounts of Archaic and Classical, rather more Late Roman, and some Medieval. There were no obvious concentrations or clusters, and later comparisons with other parts of the survey area demonstrated that this area was characteristic of heavy and intensive cultivation, probably including manuring. Survey unit 1350 had clearly been used as a dump during the Modern period.
