This POSI, which lies outside the SCSP survey area between Mitsero and Ayia Marina, consists of a large slag heap, a broad scatter of Roman and later pottery, and a series of collapsed structures and rubble piles. The slag has a striking purple black colour, possibly due to a high manganese content. On the southern edge of the slag heap a burnt area 1-2 m in diameter is exposed, with furnace conglomerate and coarse clay furnace lining with chaff inclusions. A knoll of exposed pillow lava 30 m to the southwest contains a shaft and a shallow adit.
